my resolution this year is to learn to smile happily.

it's going to be tiring; cold and lonely, even. but for our dreams! we live but once.
various other factors come into consideration. if i did well, i will gain:
1. the ability to provide in future
2. to be an asset to the man i will marry
would i have chosen otherwise? Nope. of coz; such are sacrifices
3. hinderance to the pursuit of other subjects
4. the eating of grass
5. the lack of social life
oh! what is 2 years! 4 even! to give for a life of living ur; partially; a dream.

what prompted the change of mind?
sunday noon; i was driving at +-100kmh an hour, alone in the family car.
a minor roadblock prompted me to change lane, i was still doing at least 80kmh. the car in front of me braked abruptly; i stomped on my brakes! my car skid to a stop; barely barely an inch away. i can still hear the skidding of wheels; vividly.
in the worse nightmares; this was what huili had to endure. skidding wheels. lost control car. crunching of metal. fire. then nothingness. i wasn't there with her; was barely close to her then. but once, when we were 6 and first; fast best friends. our little worlds consist only of our 2 families.
but helplessness! that's what ends it all. for all the effort we've put in living; We're helpless in the face of death.
i hope she blacked out. i hope she didn't suffer.
but i was lucky. that was 2003, we're in 2007. i am lucky. thus; my life's for me to live!
